Artist's Comments

Something I have been working on for a bit, recently got chance to finish it. Its been a while since I submitted anything :D

Terragen and World Machine 2 for the terrain, and photoshop for the postwork. I think the amount of detail the world machine can produce for small terrain size is quite good given its only the demo.

Edit: added more of an atmosphere and changed the clouds slightly, thanks for the comments.

the space part is great, but the foreground terrain is kinda lackluster though

yeh like brukhar said the space part is brilliant. But you could just do so much more with the forground.

Thanks, to begin with I only intended the terrain to be very baron, and not a big part of the piece, but as I worked on it, it became less of a focus than the space, so by comparison I agree.

looks soft and subtle, nice work!

Thanks, I won't rule out reworking parts of it sometime, as I do like the space part and the planet.

Thanks, I think when I painted on the clouds it blocked out half the atmosphere that was there, although it was always quite low down, thanks for the tip though.

alright. the space part is beautiful though, it's simple but nice to stare at
